CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

Begin planning Annual Leadership Conference, which happens in the Spring, including but not limited to:

  • Theme and Panel Design.

  • Speaker Outreach.

  • Event organization and execution and collaboration with Digital Marketing and Corporate Engagement teams.

  • At the culmination of the annual Conference, the committee will be at the discretion of the Chairs.

CORPORATE ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The Corporate Engagement Committee creates and maintains relationships with companies to obtain donations or for potential sponsorship of events.

Reaching out to companies for potential item donation or event sponsorship:

  • Organize giveaways or raffles with companies to maintain digital engagement with followers and sponsors 

  • Learn how to manage funds, speak with potential sponsors, and network with world-renowned companies

  • Collaborate with other CWBS Committees to coordinate new events

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee will be actively working to strengthen our culture of inclusivity by focusing on events and initiatives that acknowledge, engage, and benefit CWBS members across our organization’s many types of diversity including (but not limited to): race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, religion, and (dis)ability.

PLATFORM & OUTREACH COMMITTEE

Members of the Platform & Outreach Committee will broadly be focused on interviewing female entrepreneurs to create content for The Scope newsletter and podcast. 

If you're interested in content creation, overall strategy, entrepreneurship, and networking with accomplished businesswomen, and most importantly, business, this is the committee for you! 

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Creating, establishing, and providing the Columbia Women’s Business Society community, and beyond, with the skill-set needed to succeed in both the pre-professional and professional world. 

  • Members will be in communication with representatives at leading companies to plan programming in the format of information sessions, panels, or workshops.  

Members will develop a strong sense of networking, how to communicate with professionals, and a robust experience in managing events
